“Deep-sea bottom trawling is a fishing technique that has no future. It destroys biodiversity without having had time to evaluate and understand it, it destabilizes deep-sea habitats that are very sensitive to disturbance and is incredibly expensive in terms of fossil fuel. Deep-sea bottom trawling is condemned ecologically and economically.”
