SUPERMARKET RANKING BY GREENPEACE

Greenpeace audits supermarkets via an active and trained field network.

The 2011 list of supermarkets worldwide that have stopped selling deep-sea fish is available here: http://www.greenpeace.org/international/PageFiles/345834/FINAL%20Greenpe…

France

Greenpeace showed (in 2009) that the main supermarkets distributing and selling deep-sea fish in France were:

Intermarché / Les Mousquetaires

Auchan

Les Mousquetaires and Auchan sell the highest proportions of deep-sea fish (over 5%) in relation to their total fish product sales.

Métro (but based on only one audited site)

Casino (despite this supermarket having removed blue ling and orange roughy from its shelves in 2007, deep-sea fish still account for over 4% of its fish sales)
Cora
Carrefour
Picard
Système U
Leclerc
