BLOOM reveals Intermarche’s poisonous strategy and their collusion with an IFREMER researcher to ensure favorable scientific backing

A researcher for the French Institute for the Exploitation of the Sea (IFREMER), appointed for a three year term at the most influential scientific organisation in the European Commission, changed sides to join the fleet of Intermarche exactly 90 days later, thus causing a blatant conflict of interest with his position! Afterwards, the French newspaper “Le Monde” revealed that Francois Theret had not left his post at IFREMER and had only taken a leave of abscence for two years while on a “special mission” for Intermarche; this was during the delicate period of quota allocation and reform of the deep sea fishing regime and framework in Europe
