With the method of trawling, not only wildlife are affected but habitats are generally often destroyed after the passage of trawlers.
The trawling fishery, whether or not in deep water, is a fishery generating a lot of discards. Therefore creating discards of deep-sea fish, which have a very slow metabolism, does not seem very appropriate, given the current state of the resource.
