BLOOM’s agenda

Claire Nouvian on Radio France Inter this summer

Every saturday, 1.20pm

20 July, 5pm - Midnight

On the 20th of July 2017, Oceanic will present its inaugural event as part of its city-by-city immersive experience series, set to take place in the heart of Ibiza, Spain.

A conscious festival for our ocean, Oceanic x Ibiza will be a thoroughly cultural, artistic and inspirational experience. It will unite top musicians, celebrities, conservationists, institutions, NGOs and brands, transcending the barriers of language and human diversity to create a universal voice for our ocean.

Oceanic x Ibiza is designed to transport participants through the depths of our ocean. Immersive content on-site will juxtapose the natural beauty of our ocean with the destructive impact of plastic and seafood consumption, as well as provide the Oceanic community with engaging solution for restoring ocean health.

“Our Ocean” – Malta

5-6 October, 2017

On October 5th and 6th the island will host the 2017 edition of “Our Ocean” – the yearly appointment for leaders, public administrators and businesspeople from all over the globe to interact and find workable solutions for the planet’s seas and oceans.

BLOOM will be there.

Public advocacy is indeed the backbone of the “Our Ocean” initiative. The global community understands the importance of oceans for human life and expects results. One of the objectives of the conference is to report on the progress made on past commitments and inspire new ones so that one single thread can link Chile and the US to Malta, continue to Indonesia and Norway after that and lead us, slowly but surely, to healthier oceans.

WTO’s Ministerial Conference – Buenos Aires

10-13 December, 2017

WTO members have agreed that the organization’s Eleventh Ministerial Conference (MC11) will take place from 10 to 13 December 2017 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Conference will be chaired by Argentina’s Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra.

BLOOM will alert governments and ocean advocates on the fact that the December 2017 WTO meeting in Buenos Aires is the only opportunity for the international community to have a timely implementation of SDG 14.6 (elimination of harmful subsidies by 2020), as there will be no other  WTO meeting before the end of 2019.
